About Dr. Som Kohanzadeh

Dr. Som Kohanzadeh, MD, FACS, is a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and a Board-Certified General Surgeon with extensive expertise in hyperbaric medicine and wound care. A graduate of UCLA with honors in Cybernetics and a medical degree from UC San Diego, Dr. Som has dedicated his career to advancing surgical and non-surgical wound healing and recovery techniques. His leadership in plastic and reconstructive surgery and his deep knowledge of hyperbaric therapy led him to establish Under Pressure as a premier center for advanced wound care and recovery therapies. As Medical Director, Dr. Som focuses on integrating hyperbaric oxygen therapy into patient care to enhance recovery from surgery, trauma, and chronic conditions, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored for optimal health outcomes.
